Dev tools FAQ
Can I control Hermes Agent from my own code?
Yes. Hermes exposes an API server and can be scripted from the command line, and community SDKs in this category wrap those interfaces for different languages.
Where is Hermes Agent's configuration stored?
Settings live in config.yaml and secrets in .env inside the Hermes home folder (~/.hermes on Linux and macOS, %LOCALAPPDATA%\hermes on native Windows). Each profile has its own copy.
