Export Hermes Agent sessions to Markdown, HTML or normalized JSON, with a TUI browser and web panel
Hermes Session Exporter is a Python tool that exports Hermes Agent conversation sessions to Markdown, standalone HTML or normalized JSON. It includes an interactive terminal browser for your local Hermes database and a localhost web panel.
What Hermes Session Exporter does
Hermes Session Exporter turns Hermes Agent conversations into clean, shareable files. It reads sessions from the local Hermes database, state.db, which it expects at ~/AppData/Local/hermes/ on Windows or ~/.local/share/hermes/ on Linux and macOS, and it can also take .json files, .jsonl files or a whole directory as input.
Three formats are available: GitHub-flavored Markdown with role headers, a standalone HTML page with embedded CSS that colors user, assistant and tool messages, and normalized JSON with a stable structure. A Textual TUI lets you browse sessions, preview messages, select several with s and export them together with E. The web command serves the same TUI in an embedded xterm.js terminal at http://127.0.0.1:8765. Filters include --chat-only, --no-tools and --redact for sensitive content, and --split writes one file per session. Exports go to the Desktop by default. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux with Python 3.10 or newer.
