Which chat apps does Hermes Agent support out of the box?
The built-in gateway supports Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal and email, plus the terminal interface. Community bridges in this category add other platforms.
How do I stop strangers from using my Hermes bot?
Set an allowlist of user IDs in your Hermes .env file, or use DM pairing, where unknown users get a one-time code that you approve from the command line. With no allowlist and allow-all off, everyone is denied.
