Experimental plugin that connects TypeSafe's Jev decision model to coding agents, Hermes adapter planned
jev-for-all connects TypeSafe's Jev decision model to coding agents so they can ask which model, skill or tools a task needs. It works with OpenCode today, and the description lists Claude Code and Hermes adapters as next.
What jev-for-all does
Jev is TypeSafe's System One decision model, which the README says answers in roughly 70 to 500 ms with a typed answer and a confidence score. This repository wires it into agent workflows so an agent can ask which skill to load, which tools a step needs and how to move in the browser. Features include choosing a model once from the first prompt, a lean launch with no skills or MCP servers for simple tasks, and optional per-prompt skill and subagent hints that are off by default. If Jev is slow, down or unsure, the plugin does nothing.
The maintainer is candid about limits. The project is fully experimental and should not be used in important or production projects. The reported savings come from 12 small tasks, decisions go through OpenRouter's alpha API, and your prompt, plus recent conversation in the OpenCode plugin, leaves your machine. The CLI offers commands such as jev-for-all start and jev-for-all doctor.
Key features
- Model selection from the first prompt
- Lean launch without skills or MCP servers for easy tasks
- Optional skill and subagent hints, off by default
- Fail-open behavior when Jev is slow, down or unsure
- OpenCode plugin today, Claude Code and Hermes adapters planned
- Doctor command and documented uninstall
When to use it
- Trying cheaper models for simple coding tasks in OpenCode
- Testing model routing in a throwaway project
- Following the Hermes adapter as it develops
Who it is for: Developers experimenting with model routing for coding agents who accept experimental software.
How it fits with Hermes Agent
The repository description lists a Hermes adapter as upcoming, so Hermes support is planned rather than available today.
Note: The maintainer calls it fully experimental and advises against production use, and Hermes support is not yet available.
