Firecrawl CLI
firecrawl/cli
Command-line web search, scraping, crawling and browser interaction with skills for coding agents
Firecrawl CLI is a command-line interface for the Firecrawl web data API, with agent skills that teach coding agents to search, scrape, crawl and interact with live web pages. Hermes Agent is one of the supported install targets.
What Firecrawl CLI does
The CLI covers search, scrape, interact, crawl, map, research-paper, developer-source and government-source search, and agent jobs from the terminal. Running firecrawl init installs the CLI, authenticates, and adds skills to every detected AI coding agent. CLI skills teach agents the live web commands, and optional workflow skills produce deliverables such as research briefs, SEO audits, QA reports, lead lists and knowledge bases.
Setup can be scoped with an --agent flag whose values include claude-code, codex, cursor, windsurf, opencode, openclaw, openhands and hermes-agent. Skill families are installed with firecrawl setup core, build or workflows, or by individual skill name. Build skills for integrating the Firecrawl API into application code live in the separate firecrawl/skills catalog, and the README also covers installing the Firecrawl MCP server. If no API key is found, an interactive terminal offers a browser login, while non-interactive runs print a hint instead of blocking.
