Turns Hermes Agent, Claude Code, Codex and other coding agent sessions into self-contained HTML replays
claude-replay is a command-line tool and web editor that converts AI coding agent session logs, including Hermes Agent, into interactive, self-contained HTML replays. The replay can be emailed, hosted anywhere or embedded in documentation.
What claude-replay does
claude-replay auto-detects the transcript format of Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Kimi Code and Hermes Agent and converts it into a single HTML file with no external dependencies. For Hermes Agent it reads ~/.hermes/state.db live through SQLite, or you can use hermes sessions export. Playback is interactive with speed control, and tool calls and thinking blocks can be collapsed or expanded.
Other features include bookmarks and chapters, secret redaction before export, color themes, a file activity sidebar, iframe embedding, and a live watch mode started with --serve --watch to monitor sessions as they run. Running claude-replay with no arguments opens a web editor for browsing, editing and exporting. A Docker image serves the editor on port 7331. The README labels it a community tool that is not affiliated with Anthropic.
