CLI that moves coding agent sessions between 18 harnesses, including Hermes Agent
session-migrate is a Python CLI that converts and moves coding-agent sessions between harnesses, with Hermes Agent among the listed ones. It lets you continue a Claude Code session in Codex or Pi.
What session-migrate does
session-migrate reads native session transcripts and writes them in another agent's format. The README lists Claude Code, Codex, Pi, Oh My Pi, OpenCode, GitHub Copilot CLI, Antigravity CLI, Cursor Agent, Mistral Vibe, Muse Code, Qwen Code, Kimi Code, Grok, Kilo Code, OpenHands, Hermes Agent, MastraCode and Devin.
The command smigrate inspect shows a transcript without printing the conversation. smigrate transfer moves a session by ID or title between two harnesses, and you then resume it with the target agent from the same project directory. A catalog refresh and search finds older sessions by native title, name or ID, with filters such as format, lifecycle and date. Search covers titles, not conversation bodies, and refresh stays within known roots. Linux and Python 3.11+ are currently supported.
