Nebula Nodes

JustinPerea/nebula-nodes

Local-first node canvas for AI image, video, audio and 3D with bring-your-own provider keys

In short

Nebula Nodes is a local AI creation studio built around a visual node graph for image, video, audio, text, 3D and world generation. Hermes Agent is listed as an optional part of its stack, alongside Claude Code and Codex chat.

What Nebula Nodes does

Nebula Nodes is a local AI creation studio built around a visual node graph. You drop nodes, connect their typed inputs and outputs, and run pipelines that generate images, video, audio, text, 3D assets and worlds using your own provider keys. Graphs, outputs and run history stay on your machine. The stack is Python 3.12 with FastAPI on the backend and React 19, TypeScript, Vite and React Flow on the front end.

Provider nodes and universal nodes cover FAL, Replicate, OpenRouter and Nous Portal, and Krea support adds 108 models. Workspaces include Canvas, Create, Cinema, Character, Moodboard, Video Editor and Remotion, with partial execution, caching and streaming previews. A Paper Source feature links an editable asset from Paper Desktop to a canvas node, and refreshing it marks earlier results out of date without triggering generation. Agent chat is optional and works with a local Claude Code or Codex, while Hermes Agent appears in the stack list as an optional component.

Key features

  • Typed node graph for images, video, audio, text, SVG and 3D with streaming previews and caching
  • Universal nodes for FAL, Replicate, OpenRouter and Nous Portal, plus 108 Krea models
  • Canvas, Create, Cinema, Character, Moodboard, Video Editor and Remotion workspaces
  • Paper Source link that reruns a saved recipe when linked artwork changes
  • Saveable JSON graphs, local outputs and retained run history
  • Optional Claude Code and Codex chat with model and effort selection

When to use it

  • Building a repeatable image or video generation pipeline on a local canvas
  • Rerunning a saved recipe after editing a linked logo in Paper
  • Asking an agent in plain language to assemble a node graph

Who it is for: Creators and developers who want a local, bring-your-own-key studio for multi-model media workflows.

How it fits with Hermes Agent

Hermes Agent is listed as an optional component of its stack and the repository carries the hermes-agent topic, but the README text available here centers on Claude Code and Codex.

Requirements: Your own provider API keys; Paper Source also needs Paper Desktop running on the same computer as the Nebula backend

Note: It is bring-your-own-key, so image, video and audio generation uses your own accounts with the model providers.
