CC Switch Remote

xiaoY233/cc-switch-remote

Desktop app for managing Claude Code, Codex, Hermes Agent and other tools, locally and on remote servers

In short

CC Switch Remote is a cross-platform desktop application that manages providers, MCP servers, prompts and skills for several AI coding tools including Hermes Agent. It adds remote server targets to the upstream CC Switch.

What CC Switch Remote does

CC Switch Remote gives one desktop interface for provider presets and provider switching, MCP server management, prompt and instruction files, skill synchronization, import and export, tool environment checks, and a local proxy with failover. Supported tools are Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Gemini CLI, Grok Build, OpenCode, OpenClaw and Hermes Agent.

Its addition over upstream CC Switch is remote targets. You add a server profile, install a Rust CLI helper on that server from the GitHub release assets, then switch the target selector from local to the remote server. Commands run over SSH and return JSON, and provider secrets, MCP data, prompts and skills stay on the remote host unless you export them. Helper builds cover Linux x86_64, Linux arm64 and macOS universal, and remote parity targets include Hermes memory.

Key features

  • Provider presets and switching for eight AI coding tools
  • MCP server, prompt and skill management in one place
  • Remote server profiles that run over SSH with a Rust helper
  • Remote health checks and helper installation
  • Import, export, backups and cloud sync
  • Installers for Windows, macOS and Linux

When to use it

  • Switching the model provider used by Hermes Agent without editing config files by hand
  • Managing the agent setup on a remote VPS from your desktop
  • Keeping MCP servers and skills consistent across several coding agents

Who it is for: People who run several AI coding agents, locally or on servers, and want one place to manage their configuration.

How it fits with Hermes Agent

Hermes Agent is one of the eight tools it manages, with remote support for Hermes memory listed among its parity targets.

Note: It is a fork of CC Switch (farion1231/cc-switch); tray controls, desktop deep links and local proxy takeover stay local-only.
