Visualizes Hermes Agent sessions as a three.js semantic constellation, with a dashboard plugin
Theia is a visualization tool that turns Hermes Agent session history into a semantic constellation rendered with three.js. It reads the Hermes SQLite database and includes a plugin for the Hermes dashboard.
What Theia does
Theia has two halves joined by a JSON contract. theia-core is a Python build tool that reads the Hermes SQLite database and writes theia-graph.json. theia-panel is a TypeScript package that renders that file as a three.js constellation. The contract is defined in schemas/graph.schema.json, and an example graph.json serves as the golden fixture for both halves.
A plugin folder integrates the panel into the Hermes dashboard. The documentation includes a quick start, a usage reference for the CLI, Makefile and installer, a build pipeline reference, a Hermes dashboard integration guide, an update guide, troubleshooting notes and a three-minute demo script. Sample Hermes session JSON files sit under examples/sessions, an architecture design spec is kept under docs, and a one-command installer script handles setup, with alternative install methods described in the quick-start document.
Key features
- theia-core build tool that converts the Hermes SQLite database into theia-graph.json
- theia-panel renderer that draws the graph as a three.js constellation
- JSON Schema contract between the core and the panel
- Hermes dashboard plugin
- One-command install script
- Sample sessions and a golden graph fixture
When to use it
- Seeing how topics across many Hermes sessions cluster together
- Adding a visual session explorer to the Hermes dashboard
- Demonstrating Hermes activity in a short walkthrough using the demo script
Who it is for: Hermes Agent users with a long session history who want to explore it visually.
How it fits with Hermes Agent
It is built for Hermes Agent: it reads Hermes' own SQLite session data and ships a plugin for the Hermes dashboard.
How to install Theia
These commands are copied from the project's README. Check the repository for the latest steps before you run them.

What is Theia?
Theia is a tool that visualizes Hermes Agent sessions as a semantic constellation. A Python build step turns the Hermes database into a graph file, and a TypeScript panel draws it with three.js.
How do I install Theia?
Run the one-line installer from the README, which pipes install.sh from the repository into sh. The README points to docs/quick-start.md for alternative install methods, prerequisites and configuration.
Is Theia free and open source?
Yes. The repository is licensed under MIT.
