What Hermes Desktop RU does

Hermes Agent gained an official Russian locale (ru.ts) in main on 1 September 2026, in v0.21 and later. The README says it covers about 60 percent of the interface. This mod translates the rest: hardcoded strings in settings fields, the splash screen, messenger components, the Bots and Kanban plugins, and main-process messages such as gateway auth and boot failures. It also adjusts some official terms, for example how Skills and Capabilities is rendered.

A doctor registry holds 683 rewrite rules, 85 of them for plugins. Release 1.2.6, built for Hermes 0.21.0 on 5 October 2026, is split into two independent zips: one for the Bots and Kanban plugins and one with 75 Russian greeting phrases. The install command needs a Hermes Desktop built from source, not the portable build or the downloadable installer. Windows is the main path, Linux was tested by the author on Ubuntu, and macOS is experimental.
