macOS control panel that runs OpenClaw and Hermes Agent instances in separate user accounts on one Mac
ClawdHome is a macOS app that isolates and manages multiple OpenClaw and Hermes Agent instances on one Mac, each inside its own macOS user account.
What ClawdHome does
ClawdHome is a SwiftUI control panel backed by a privileged XPC helper daemon. Each agent instance, called a Shrimp, runs as a separate macOS user with its own runtime, data directory, Keychain entries and managed browser-account layer, so a compromised agent stays inside its own user boundary. The panel covers initialization, gateway lifecycle, health monitoring with watchdog recovery, backup and restore, model and provider setup, diagnostics and cron tasks.
OpenClaw and Hermes Agent can run side by side, sharing an API key store and the backup system. A single Shrimp can host several agents, each with its own identity, model configuration and chat binding. The README lists more than 13 messaging channels, including WeChat, Feishu, Telegram, Slack, WeCom, DingTalk, WhatsApp and email, paired by QR scan or token form. It also offers a Role Market, a Skills Store and English and Chinese localization, under the Apache-2.0 license.
Key features
- One macOS user account per agent instance for OS-level isolation
- OpenClaw and Hermes Agent engines managed from one panel
- Watchdog auto-recovery, diagnostics center and cron task management
- Per-instance or global backup and restore
- Centralized model and provider management with keys in an isolated Keychain
When to use it
- Running agents for several clients on one Mac with credentials kept apart
- On-premise deployments where gateway logs and config changes must be traceable
- Cloning an instance as a throwaway sandbox for experiments
- Using a dedicated demo instance for livestreams so real API keys never appear on screen
Who it is for: AI studios, independent builders and IT teams who run several agents on a Mac and need them isolated from each other.
How it fits with Hermes Agent
Supports Hermes Agent as one of two engines next to OpenClaw, so a Mac can host Hermes Agent instances in isolated user accounts.
Requirements: A Mac running macOS
