Hermes Kanban Bridge

Obsidian plugin and Hermes skills that let Hermes build and update Kanban boards in your vault

In short

Hermes Kanban Bridge is an Obsidian plugin plus a set of Hermes skills that lets Hermes break a goal into a Kanban board, move cards and run standups inside an Obsidian vault. Hermes talks to the plugin over a local REST API.

What Hermes Kanban Bridge does

The plugin runs inside Obsidian desktop and exposes a REST API, on port 27124 by default. Hermes, which can run on any machine, calls that API through the skills in the skills folder to create boards, move cards between columns, update card metadata and query state. Boards are Markdown files in a vault folder, named Kanban by default, and are drawn by the obsidian-kanban plugin. The documented prompts include 'Break down a project into a Kanban board', 'Run my daily standup', 'What's blocked?' and 'Give me a weekly review'.

A trust mode setting chooses between an approval modal (confirm) and no prompts (auto). The README describes the setup as fully local with no cloud dependencies. A newer experimental mode reads native Hermes Kanban state through an endpoint on 127.0.0.1:9120 and renders it read-only inside notes with hermes-task code blocks, while Hermes keeps ownership of the task state.
