Terminal UI for Hermes Agent built with OpenTUI and Bun, with chat, kanban and config tabs
Herm is an operator-focused terminal UI for Hermes Agent that combines chat with tabs for sessions, skills, cron, config, memory and kanban. It is a client for the Hermes Agent gateway, not a separate agent runtime.
What Herm does
Herm keeps chat on the left and puts a sidebar and tabs beside it for model and profile state, sessions, context, agents, analytics, skills, cron, toolsets, config, env, memory and kanban. Chat supports streaming markdown, LaTeX-to-unicode conversion, inline images through chafa, diff chips, expandable tool calls and @ references for file and diff context.
It is built with OpenTUI and Bun and connects to the Hermes Agent gateway, either by spawning a local gateway subprocess or by attaching to a running dashboard with the --gateway-url option. Keys are rebindable, and there is a command palette, slash commands, a theme picker and profile switching. The kanban tab provides board and task views, diagnostics and dispatch controls. Herm also includes Eikons, 48x24 terminal avatars that can be searched, installed, activated, updated and removed from a shared catalog.
