Hermes Kanban demo where four agent profiles make a video explaining Hermes Kanban from one command
Kanban Video Pipeline is a demo in which four Hermes Agent profiles, a director, cinematographer, renderer and editor, collaborate through the Kanban board to produce a finished video from one command.
What Kanban Video Pipeline does
The pipeline is a recursive demonstration: the Hermes Kanban system creates a video explaining itself. One hermes kanban create command assigns a brief to the director, which decomposes it into nine tasks. The cinematographer designs the visual language, seven renderers run in parallel using ASCII video and p5.js, and the editor reviews clips with AI video analysis and assembles the final cut with ffmpeg into output/final.mp4. Each stage promotes automatically when its dependencies complete.
Agents communicate through three built-in Kanban channels: structured handoffs with a summary and metadata that child tasks receive in context, comments written with kanban_comment, and a shared workspace directory. A setup.sh script creates the four profiles, writes their personalities, sets up the project structure and initializes the board. Progress can be watched with hermes kanban watch, hermes kanban list or the Kanban tab of hermes dashboard. The repository also holds ARCHITECTURE.md, RUN.md, a brief, taste documents, and the render scripts the agents wrote as reference.
