What Hermes Example Plugins does

The plugins are not bundled with hermes-agent. The core repository ships only the plugins people actually run, such as memory providers, the disk-cleanup hook and platform adapters, so reference code lives here for plugin authors to read, copy and install as user plugins. Each directory is self-contained and is paired with a page in the Hermes developer docs.

There are seven examples. plugin-tool-example registers a model-callable tool with ctx.register_tool(). plugin-llm-example and plugin-llm-async-example use host-owned LLM calls, including a concurrent /translate pass built on asyncio.gather(). plugin-hook-example is a transform_llm_output hook that masks SSNs and card numbers. example-dashboard adds a dashboard tab, a slot injection and a backend route, example-desktop-statusbar adds a status-bar chip to Hermes Desktop, and strike-freedom-cockpit is a full dashboard theme with a sidebar HUD.
