What Hermes Agent Mobile Client does

Hermes Agent Mobile Client is a thin Android WebView app that opens the real Hermes dashboard chat on a phone. It does not replace Hermes or reimplement its sessions, chat, jobs, files, skills or plugins, which stay owned by Hermes. A signed APK is included in the repository.

A small connector helper, run with npx on the machine where Hermes is installed, starts the dashboard with hermes dashboard --host 0.0.0.0 --port 9119 --no-open --insecure --tui and prints a URL to paste into the app. The connector offers install, status, url, restart, logs and uninstall commands. Tailscale is recommended so port 9119 is not exposed publicly, though the same Wi-Fi network or a public VPS also works if the port is reachable. The app can paste or resume a saved connection URL, scan the local Wi-Fi for dashboards on port 9119, check the connector status endpoint, change terminal text size and open a fresh TUI when a session ends. The README also has a section of instructions for AI agents asked to set it up.

Requirements: An Android phone with the APK installed, a machine running Hermes Agent, and Tailscale on both devices (recommended; same Wi-Fi or a reachable public port also work)

Note: It is an Android WebView client only, with no native UI yet, and some inherited Hermes dashboard plugin pages such as Kanban are not validated on mobile.
