Hermes plugin that adds a PostgreSQL-backed task queue and orchestration for a fleet of agents
Hermes FleetManager Plugin adds a PostgreSQL-backed task queue and an orchestration layer to Hermes Agent, with agent assets installed from .github/agents. Clients such as Telegram queue work that FleetManager dispatches to matching agents.
What Hermes FleetManager Plugin does
The runtime chain starts when a client such as Telegram creates an intent and queues tasks. FleetManager reads pending tasks from PostgreSQL and dispatches the matching agent from .github/agents/code/. Orchestration helpers assemble redacted context before any LLM fallback path, and Hermes keeps provider selection in its normal config flow, including OpenRouter and user-defined providers. Queued task payloads preserve provider, model, base_url and api_mode so downstream agents respect the caller's choice.
The plugin exposes three tools: fleetmanager_status returns pending task count, visible tasks and available agents, fleetmanager_run runs the orchestration once, and fleetmanager_agents lists installed code agents. The installer symlinks the plugin into ~/.hermes/plugins, copies the agent assets, installs Python dependencies, can install PostgreSQL on Debian or Ubuntu, and writes database settings to ~/.hermes/.env. You then enable it with plugins.fleetmanager.enabled in the Hermes config.
