Hermes Deck
TNJ2026/hermes-deck
Native macOS SwiftUI client that chats with Hermes, Hermes profiles and external coding agents
Hermes Deck is a native macOS chat client for the Hermes agent backend that also routes messages to Codex, Claude, Gemini and other Hermes profiles.
What Hermes Deck does
Hermes Deck is a SwiftUI app for macOS 14 or later that talks to a locally installed Hermes agent over a JSON-RPC TUI gateway on stdio. In the chat you can @mention another agent to route a message inline: @codex uses Codex over the Agent Client Protocol, @claude uses the Claude CLI, @gemini calls agy in single-shot print mode, and any Hermes profile can be addressed by name.
Agents can hand work to one another through a built-in deck_delegate_agent Hermes tool, with a fenced AgentRouting block as the fallback. The Deck forwards the request, feeds the reply back and shows a live status card under the triggering message. A right-hand sidebar holds a Kanban board, scheduled cron jobs, per-agent panels and settings. Past Hermes sessions are read from the backend SQLite database and can be reopened, installed Hermes tools and skills can be toggled, and dictation uses SFSpeechRecognizer.
