What Agent Reach for Hermes does

The skill covers Twitter/X, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, GitHub, LinkedIn, RSS, web search and web reading, with several alternative backends for each platform. Compared with the original agent-reach it is in English, drops the Chinese platforms (Bilibili, Xiaoyuzhou, Xueqiu, Xiaohongshu and V2EX), and follows Hermes' skill layout, with reference files for career, dev, search, social, video and web commands.

The skill only controls the agent-reach CLI, so the CLI has to be installed. If it is missing, the skill installs it on first use, or you can install it yourself with pipx or a virtual environment. The command agent-reach install --env=auto sets up the core tools and enables zero-config channels: web reading through Jina Reader, YouTube, GitHub, RSS and Exa search. Login-backed channels such as Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn are installed on request and need their own cookies or logins. The skill is installed by copying it into ~/.hermes/skills or by pointing skills.external_dirs at the repo.
