Hermes-first distribution of Get Shit Done with strict per-agent model routing
GSD Hermes is an npm-installed distribution of the Get Shit Done workflow for Hermes Agent, adding /gsd-* commands and strict per-agent provider routing.
What GSD Hermes does
gsd-hermes is the Hermes-first distribution of Get Shit Done, an upstream planning, execution, review and shipping workflow. It installs the /gsd-* commands as Hermes skills, including /gsd-new-project, /gsd-plan-phase, /gsd-execute-phase and /gsd-ship, with /gsd-help to verify the install. A global install writes into the Hermes home directory. A local install keeps an inspectable skill tree in ./.gsd-hermes and links it into Hermes through skills.external_dirs, because Hermes has no per-project skills root.
Its main addition is strict provider-routed execution. The model_overrides setting chooses a model per agent, such as gsd-executor or gsd-verifier. A hermes/ prefix runs the agent through hermes chat with terminal and file toolsets, openai/ and gpt- models go through codex exec, anthropic/ and claude- models go through claude -p, and anything unsupported fails fast with diagnostics. The point is that a configured GPT executor never quietly runs as a Claude subprocess. The README notes that upstream GSD now has basic Hermes support, and this package stays close to upstream while keeping the stricter routing layer.
Key features
- /gsd-* planning, execution, review and shipping commands inside Hermes
- Global install or project-linked local install
- Per-agent model_overrides for planner, executor and verifier agents
- hermes/, openai/ and anthropic/ routing to Hermes chat, Codex CLI or Claude Code CLI
- Fail-fast diagnostics instead of silent fallback
- npx installer
When to use it
- Running a phase-based project workflow from inside Hermes
- Assigning different models to the executor and verifier agents
- Keeping a repo-visible skill tree for one project
Who it is for: Developers who use the Get Shit Done workflow and want it to run natively in Hermes Agent with predictable model routing.
