What Start Second Brain does

Start Second Brain interviews you one question at a time: what you do, products and prices, clients, a money goal with a figure and deadline, the team, where your numbers live, your site address, which files it may read and past decisions with their results. It also reads your website and permitted files. Anything you do not know goes under a gaps heading instead of being invented, and files are written only after you approve the recap and the proposed folder structure.

The result is a folder of plain Markdown: INDEX.md as a map with question-to-document routes, RULES.md, log.md, AGENTS.md with a reading order for Hermes and Codex, and a CLAUDE.md that points Claude Code at AGENTS.md. A second mode tidies an existing base: it backs up first, finds duplicates and contradictions, asks which version is current and moves outdated files to archive/ without deleting anything.
