What Hermes Skills does

Each skill is a SKILL.md that gives Hermes context and reusable Python patterns for working with an external service, and you install one by copying its folder into ~/.hermes/skills/. The current set covers finance (Financial Modeling Prep quotes, fundamentals, statements, ratios, screener, crypto and forex), web (Firecrawl scraping, search, crawling, page interaction and structured extraction), WhatsApp contact lookup through WBizTool, SEO content analysis with NeuronWriter, WordPress page building with WPBakery, and marketing with Hermes Tweet and Waitlister.

Most skills read credentials from environment variables such as FMP_API_KEY, FIRECRAWL_API_KEY, NEURONWRITER_API_KEY, XQUIK_API_KEY and WAITLISTER_API_KEY, which you add to ~/.hermes/.env before restarting the Hermes gateway. The WBizTool skill needs a running WhatsApp bridge, and WPBakery needs WordPress credentials. Contributions are asked to use environment-variable credentials, include working Python examples and follow the SKILL.md format. After install you ask Hermes in plain language, for example for a stock price or to scrape a page.
