Agent skill for publishing HTML and Markdown behind company auth on display.dev, works with Hermes

In short

display.dev Skill is an agent skill that teaches an AI assistant to publish HTML or Markdown to display.dev behind company authentication, then search, read, edit, share and iterate on it from comments. It works across Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, OpenCode, Hermes, Pi and OpenClaw.

What display.dev Skill does

display.dev Skill covers the full publishing loop on display.dev: publishing small inline values or large generated files, copying, browsing, searching, reading and editing artifacts, sharing them, creating an account or signing in, claiming an anonymous publish, and iterating from comments. The assistant picks it up from phrasings such as 'publish this', 'make a private link' or 'share this with the org'. You can publish with no account or setup and get a 30-day preview URL and a browser claim URL.

For any agent, including Hermes, the install is the skill alone through npx skills. Claude Code and Codex also have plugins that bundle the remote MCP server at api.display.dev/v1/mcp. The Claude Code plugin adds the Visualize skill, a /display-dev:feedback command, a hook that scans publishes for secrets and blocks public ones, and a hook that reports new comments at session start. Sign-in uses OAuth through the MCP server or dsp login in your own terminal, and the skill never asks for or relays the six-digit code.

Key features

  • Publishes inline values or large generated HTML and Markdown files
  • Lists, searches, reads, edits, copies and shares published artifacts

  • Secret-scanning hook that blocks public publishes containing keys or tokens
  • Codex plugin that bundles the skill and the same remote MCP server

When to use it

  • Sharing a generated report or dashboard with colleagues behind company sign-in
  • Publishing a Markdown plan from an agent session and sharing a private link
  • Reviewing comments on a published artifact and having the agent apply the changes
