What agent-inner-life does

agent-inner-life is a markdown skill made of one SKILL.md, four reference files and one template. It keeps a record in an inner-life folder: state.md holds dated one-line facts about how work is going, journal/ gets one entry per day, and dreams/ holds free thinking that is not about your data. Each evening a summary of two or three lines is rewritten into the agent's native memory, and a weekly rollup condenses the entries.

The skill adds to what the runtime already provides rather than replacing memory, skills or the scheduler. Nothing runs on its own: the evening and night routines are cron jobs you create, for example with hermes cron create. The README is explicit that the native memory summary reaches the system prompt of every later session, so the rules in references/state.md and references/journal.md limit what may go into it. Uninstalling the skill does not erase the files it wrote.
