OpenClawCash Wallet Plugin

openclawcash/agentwalletapi-hermes

Hermes plugin exposing managed EVM and Solana wallets as native tools, with an API key and no private key

In short

OpenClawCash Wallet Plugin is a Hermes Agent plugin that gives the agent managed EVM and Solana wallet tools through the OpenClawCash agent API. The agent holds an API key and never a private key.

What OpenClawCash Wallet Plugin does

The plugin is a thin, stateless bridge to the OpenClawCash agent API, the same API behind its MCP server and CLI, so no wallet logic, key material or fund movement lives in the plugin. It registers five tools: agentwalletapi_wallets_list, agentwalletapi_wallet_get, agentwalletapi_wallet_rename, agentwalletapi_wallet_create and agentwalletapi_transfer_send. Supported networks are sepolia, mainnet, polygon-mainnet, base-mainnet, solana-devnet, solana-testnet and solana-mainnet.

The security choices are spelled out. The base URL is limited to https://openclawcash.com or its subdomains, redirects are refused, and the agent key travels only in an X-Agent-Key header and is never logged. The wallet export passphrase comes from an environment variable rather than the model, and importing a wallet by private key is deliberately not a tool. wallet_create and transfer_send are declared high-risk and meant to run under Hermes session approval mode. Swap, bridge, Escrow checkout, Polymarket and YieldWolf Casino tools are not yet covered.

Key features

  • Five wallet tools: list, get, rename, create and transfer
  • EVM networks and Solana networks, including testnets
  • Agent key sent only to an allowlisted host in an X-Agent-Key header
  • Export passphrase read from the environment, never from the model
  • High-risk tools declared for Hermes session approval mode
  • Install pinned to an exact commit with --ref

When to use it

  • Letting a Hermes agent check wallet balances across networks
  • Sending a native or token transfer from a managed wallet under approval
  • Creating a new managed wallet without exposing key material to the model

Who it is for: Hermes Agent users building agents that need to read or move crypto funds without handling private keys.

Yes. Install it with hermes plugins install openclawcash/agentwalletapi-hermes --enable and provide OPENCLAWCASH_AGENT_KEY, ideally in ~/.hermes/.env.

No. The agent gets an API key only. The README says private-key import is not exposed as a tool because a key passed as an argument would reach the model context, the LLM provider and the session transcript.
