Git-backed oversight of your Hermes Agents' skills with pull request review of every change
skill-tracker is a Hermes Agent plugin that commits every skill_manage change to git and opens pull requests, so you can review, approve or reject how your agents' skills evolve.
What skill-tracker does
Without oversight, Hermes agents modify their own skills silently: self-improvement loops patch them, the curator consolidates them and direct agent actions edit them. skill-tracker intercepts every skill_manage tool call and commits it immediately to a branch dedicated to that agent. Related changes are grouped, cherry-picked and pushed to GitHub as pull requests against the main branch.
You review the pull requests on GitHub. Merged changes become part of main and are rebased back into each agent's local skill library. For rejected changes, a cron agent periodically reconciles the agent's branch with main and removes the rejected commits, so the agent's skills stay aligned with your decisions. It supports several agents and several skill repositories, and it also tracks skill sync so upstream changes to bundled skills are visible. Setup is guided: you install a setup skill, ask the agent to set up skill-tracker, and restart the gateway.
