Hermes plugin and skills that turn approved conversations into evidence-backed daily Markdown journal notes
My Journal for Hermes is a plugin and skill package that turns Hermes conversations you explicitly approve into validated daily Markdown notes of decisions, changes, failed attempts, verification, blockers and open work.
What My Journal for Hermes does
The README calls it a progression journal, not another memory system and not a raw transcript export. You choose the scope first: profiles, platforms, dates, timezone, privacy settings, exclusions and workload limits. Collection is read-only and builds bounded evidence, masks personal information, redacts likely secrets and keeps non-reversible coverage references. Notes are plain Markdown at journal/notes/YYYY/MM/YYYY-MM-DD.md under the Hermes data root, so they open in Obsidian or any editor.
Historical backfill processes approved dates oldest first and resumes from frozen evidence if interrupted. Daily automation uses required pre-collection and post-validation, with a locked execution contract so partial work is not reported as complete. The package has two skills, a plugin with 11 deterministic journal tools, five restricted generation tools and a hermes journal command, and a transactional install.py. A synthetic demo runs without reading any Hermes data. Version 0.2.1 supports Linux, macOS and native Windows Hermes with Ubuntu WSL.
