Native macOS workspace for Hermes Agent on Orgo cloud computers and SSH hosts

In short

Hermes Desktop OS1 Edition is a native macOS app for working with a Hermes Agent that runs on an Orgo cloud computer or an SSH host. It offers sessions, Kanban, files, skills, cron jobs and a terminal in one window.

What Hermes Desktop OS1 Edition does

Hermes Desktop OS1 Edition is a native macOS app, written in Swift, for working with a Hermes Agent that lives on a remote machine. In cloud mode it talks to the Orgo platform's HTTP API and a per-VM websocket terminal, so you can provision a cloud computer, hand it to the agent and stay in one workspace without SSH, a gateway or a helper service. On a fresh computer the Overview screen offers an Install Hermes Agent button that runs the official installer, and the README says Sessions, Kanban, Files, Skills and Cron populate about 60 to 90 seconds later.

SSH connections still work for hosts you already reach, with an optional user, port and Hermes profile. The app inherits features from the upstream Hermes Desktop fork: a Sessions browser with full-text search, a Kanban board, a file editor with conflict checks, a skills viewer, a cron job manager and profile-aware paths. It also includes a WebRTC voice mode that uses OpenAI Realtime.

Key features

  • Orgo cloud computer creation and selection from inside the app
  • One-click Hermes Agent install on a fresh computer
  • Interactive terminal over the per-VM websocket
  • SSH hosts with optional user, port and Hermes profile
  • Sessions search, Kanban board, file editor, skills viewer and cron manager
  • Voice mode built on OpenAI Realtime

When to use it

  • Give a Hermes Agent its own cloud computer and manage it from a Mac
  • Browse sessions, edit files and manage cron jobs on a remote Hermes install
  • Connect to an existing SSH host running Hermes with a chosen profile

Who it is for: Mac users who run Hermes Agent on cloud VMs or remote SSH hosts and want a native workspace instead of a terminal alone.

How it fits with Hermes Agent

It is a Hermes Agent front end for macOS, forked from the upstream Hermes Desktop app, and it can install Hermes Agent on a new Orgo computer or connect to a host that already has it.

Requirements: macOS 14 or newer, plus an Orgo account with an API key or an SSH host with python3 on the non-interactive PATH and Hermes already installed

Note: Builds are ad-hoc signed, so macOS may warn about an unverified developer on first launch, and cloud mode needs an Orgo account.
