Native Android app for chatting with and managing a Hermes Agent through its dashboard
Hermes Mobile is a native Android companion app, written in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose, for controlling a Hermes Agent from a phone. It connects to the Hermes dashboard over its REST API and WebSocket gateway.
What Hermes Mobile does
The app covers chat, with history stored locally in Room and notifications that support inline replies; configuration of profiles, skills, plugins, toolsets and model or provider choices; and operations such as streaming and filtering live logs, managing cron jobs, editing environment keys, testing webhooks and monitoring processes. It also shows gateway status for the WebSocket connection, MCP servers, messaging channels and OAuth providers, plus Kanban boards, agent milestones, session history and usage analytics.
It needs a running Hermes dashboard that the phone can reach. For a dashboard on the same machine bound to loopback, the app asks for a token. For a LAN dashboard behind basic auth, it asks for a username and password and then requests a WebSocket ticket automatically. It supports manual HTTPS client certificates (mTLS) through Android KeyChain, and the README says to use HTTPS for remote connections. The interface offers seven theme presets and Material You colors on supported devices.
