ACP UI

formulahendry/acp-ui

Cross-platform desktop, mobile and web client for any Agent Client Protocol agent, Hermes Agent included

In short

ACP UI is a client for the Agent Client Protocol that runs on desktop, mobile and the web and connects to ACP-compatible AI agents. Its README lists Hermes Agent among the agents you can use from the interface.

What ACP UI does

ACP UI gives one interface to many AI coding agents that speak the Agent Client Protocol. The README lists GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Qwen Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Kiro CLI and Hermes Agent, plus any other ACP-compatible agent. It provides chat, sessions, permission prompts and a traffic monitor, and it can talk to remote agents over ws:// or wss:// WebSocket connections.

A browser build at acp-ui.github.io needs no install, though it leaves out local stdio agents and host filesystem access because a browser tab cannot start a local subprocess. Desktop builds exist for Windows, macOS and Linux, an Android APK is on the releases page, and iOS has to be built from source. On mobile and the web the app reattaches to the session when it regains focus. The macOS builds are ad-hoc signed and not notarized, so Gatekeeper shows a warning on first launch.

  • Inspect the protocol traffic between the client and an agent

Who it is for: Developers who use several ACP-compatible coding agents and want one graphical client across desktop, mobile and web.

How it fits with Hermes Agent

It is a general ACP client that names Hermes Agent among the agents it can connect to, and it is not built for Hermes alone.

Note: The macOS builds are ad-hoc signed and not notarized, so macOS shows a malware-verification warning until you clear the quarantine flag.
