In short

print3d is a Hermes Agent plugin that has the agent model a part in Blender, check the mesh, and slice it into a Bambu Studio .3mf file for a Bambu Lab X2D. It also works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI.

What print3d does

The agent writes a Blender script that builds the part. print3d runs the script, checks the mesh, slices it with Bambu Studio and reports what to fix, and the agent repeats the loop until every check passes. You then open the resulting .3mf in Studio and print from there. Nothing in the plugin talks to the printer.

The plugin ships two things: an MCP server with tools such as make, measure, likeness, handoff and view, and a print3d skill describing the workflow from brief to hand-off. Hermes starts the server through uvx, so no Hermes config edit is needed. It targets a Bambu Lab X2D with a 0.4 mm nozzle, supports one or several parts in one or two colours, and measures fits against your own printer. A desktop install link is also given.
