Run Claude Code, Codex, Kimi, OpenCode and Hermes side by side in one local tmux workspace

In short

reevesagents is a CLI, terminal UI, web UI and MCP server that keeps AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Kimi, OpenCode and Hermes running side by side in tmux sessions. From one place you can read each tool's output, send instructions and stop a run.

What reevesagents does

Each coding tool runs in its own tmux session, so work continues when the interface is closed. A run is started with a task and a list of tools, for example one lead and one tester, and its state is stored as JSON under ~/.reeves. Each provider keeps its own login and sends its own model requests. The terminal UI handles keyboard control, the web UI shows live output, approvals and history and listens only on the loopback address, and the command line is meant for scripts.

An optional MCP server lets a trusted host such as Claude Code start, read, steer and stop other tools. Workers receive no MCP connection by default, and the README advises keeping provider permission prompts enabled. The server is listed in the official MCP Registry, a Claude Code plugin bundles the connection with operating instructions, and a separate reevesagents skill supplies those instructions to other hosts. It supports macOS, Linux and WSL.

Key features

  • Terminal UI, web UI, command line and MCP server over the same runs
  • tmux-backed sessions that keep running when the interface closes
  • Start a team of tools with one spawn command and a prompt
  • MCP server so a trusted tool can direct the others
  • Doctor command that checks the local setup
  • Run state stored as JSON under ~/.reeves

When to use it

  • Running Hermes next to Claude Code and Codex on the same review task
  • Watching and steering several agent sessions from a browser
  • Letting one lead agent delegate work to others through MCP

Who it is for: Developers who run more than one AI coding tool and want a single local place to launch, watch and stop them.
