What hermes-openrouter-free-rotator does

OpenRouter's free (:free) models expire and disappear without notice. Once a day the plugin ranks the free-models collection, optionally weighting privacy, drops unsuitable entries and rewrites the Hermes config. The best pick becomes model.default and the next two lead fallback_providers, while entries you added yourself are kept after them. It writes only when the selection changes, so a model due to expire is replaced before it goes dark.

Control is through the hermes freemodels command and the /freemodels slash command. The list command shows a ranked table, sync applies the selection (with --dry-run to preview), pin stops rotation on a chosen model, mode sets which privacy tiers may be picked, and install-cron schedules the daily run at 00:01 UTC by default. Each sync also writes a model catalog manifest so the /model picker shows free models first, which requires restarting Hermes before they appear.
