What Hermes TinyFish Plugin does

The plugin provides TinyFish Search and Fetch as the web_search and web_extract backends for Hermes Agent, with plain-language tool routing and update awareness. It can also add TinyFish Browser as a remote browser session underneath Hermes's own browser loop, while Hermes stays the agent that plans and chooses tools. hermes tinyfish setup configures the hosted TinyFish MCP server with OAuth, limited to the search and fetch_content tools, and sets both web backends to tinyfish. It falls back to REST with TINYFISH_API_KEY when MCP OAuth is unavailable.

Browser use is off by default, since the browser credit policy starts at deny. hermes tinyfish status and doctor check the setup, and doctor --live runs independent Search and Fetch checks over MCP or REST. A nonblocking update check compares a Git install with the latest GitHub release or a pip install with the latest PyPI version, caches the result for 24 hours and never installs anything itself. It sends only the plugin version in the User-Agent and can be disabled with tinyfish.update_check set to false or NO_UPDATE_NOTIFIER=1.
