What Hermes zh-CN Chinese Pack does

You ask Hermes to visit useai.live/hermes, or run the installer yourself. The installer checks the local Hermes version within 4 seconds, picks the matching package for 0.15.x, 0.14.x or 0.13.x (or a legacy package), verifies the SHA256 of the package files and installs the content into ~/.xiaoma-hermes/current. It sets display.language=zh, editing ~/.hermes/config.yaml directly if the Hermes command is unavailable, and writes a skill at ~/.hermes/skills/xiaoma-hermes-zh/SKILL.md so Hermes knows what the pack does.

After making backups, it edits files such as hermes_cli/banner.py, hermes_cli/commands.py, the ACP adapter, gateway platform files and the ui-tui TypeScript sources, so the startup title, shortcut commands, toolsets, skill categories, gateway status, ACP permissions, pairing settings and approval prompts appear in Chinese. On Windows the entry point detects the official desktop app and installs it if missing. On macOS, Linux and WSL2 it runs the official Hermes install script if Hermes is missing. An optional wrapper at ~/.xiaoma-hermes/bin/hermes checks latest.json for updates before launching Hermes.
