What Hermes/Pi Dev Team does

The pipeline combines three parts. The BMad Method supplies planning, generating product briefs, PRDs, architecture docs, epics and stories through analyst, architect, PM and scrum master personas. Hermes is the orchestrator and does not write code: it detects the project stack, queues work from Beads, dispatches coding tasks, cross-checks results and escalates failures through retry, a different approach, a model upgrade, web research and finally deep research and rearchitecting. Pi is the coding agent, launched as an isolated CLI child process for each story, reading AGENTS.md and implementing code until pre-written tests pass. Pi never modifies tests.

The vibe-loop is the single entry point, a 13-phase pipeline that adapts to greenfield and brownfield projects. A --yolo mode runs end to end with no human gates, and Quinn adversarial review in Phase 10c is a mandatory gate with three layers: Blind Hunter, Edge Case Hunter and Acceptance Auditor. It runs with commands like hermes chat -s dev-team/vibe-loop.
