Hermes NotebookLM Bridge

AzamatSafarov/hermes-notebooklm-bridge

Pipeline that turns NotebookLM audio, infographics and slides into platform-ready publishing assets

In short

Hermes NotebookLM Bridge is a Python pipeline that creates a NotebookLM notebook from your sources, generates audio, infographic, mind map or slide artifacts, and prepares them for publishing. It is framed as a bridge run via Hermes Agent.

What Hermes NotebookLM Bridge does

Hermes NotebookLM Bridge runs a single command that creates a NotebookLM notebook, adds your sources (URLs, PDFs or a research query), generates the requested artifacts, downloads them and compresses them per platform. Audio becomes a 48 kbps mono MP3 for Telegram (about 8 MB, down from about 30 MB), and the infographic becomes an 800 px wide JPG under 2 MB for Bluesky. Results land in assets/{slug}/, and the README maps them to Dev.to, Telegram, Bluesky and LinkedIn.

Artifact types are audio overview (MP3), infographic (PNG), mind map (JSON) and slide deck (PDF), chosen with --artifacts. Google blocks headless Playwright, so authentication relies on cookies exported once from a logged-in Chrome session in Netscape format, through a bookmarklet or a cookie-export extension, and then converted by convert_netscape_cookies.py. After that the pipeline runs headlessly. The README states it does not bypass Google authentication.

Key features

  • Creates a NotebookLM notebook and adds URL, file or query sources
  • Generates audio, infographic, mind map and slide deck artifacts
  • Compresses audio for Telegram and images for Bluesky with ffmpeg
  • Writes everything to assets/{slug}/ ready for publishing
  • Cookie-based Google authentication exported once from Chrome
  • --refresh-cookies option that converts a new cookie export automatically

When to use it

  • Turning a whitepaper or blog post into a podcast-style audio file for a Telegram channel
  • Producing a cover infographic and a slide PDF for an article
  • Cutting the manual download, rename and compress routine from a daily publishing workflow

Who it is for: Content publishers who use NotebookLM and Hermes Agent and want its artifacts ready for several platforms.

How it fits with Hermes Agent
