Desktop plugins for Hermes Agent: token speed, approval inbox, PR dashboard, Typefully queue and more

In short

Hermes Desktop Kit is a collection of plugins for the Hermes Desktop app. It adds a live tokens-per-second chip, an approval inbox, a GitHub PR dashboard, a Typefully queue, a config history viewer and an NES emulator.

What Hermes Desktop Kit does

Hermes Desktop Kit bundles six plugins for the Hermes Desktop app, each loaded without touching Hermes core. Frontend parts are plain ESM files copied into ~/.hermes/desktop-plugins/ and hot-reload within seconds. Plugins that need a backend ship a small FastAPI router in a dashboard/ folder that goes into ~/.hermes/plugins/ and is listed under plugins.enabled in config.yaml. Backend installs need the serve process restarted.

The plugins are token-speed (a live tok/s chip in the status bar), approval-inbox (action items, blocked kanban cards, failed cron jobs and drafts in one pane), github-pr-dashboard (created, review-requested and closed PRs through the gh CLI), typefully-q (a Typefully queue calendar that needs TYPEFULLY_API_KEY), time-machine (diffs and safe rollback of your Hermes config) and nes-emulator (HerNES, a jsnes canvas for ROMs you own). The README cites 109 backend tests for approval-inbox and 55 pytest tests for time-machine.

Key features

  • token-speed shows live tokens per second for the active model in the status bar
  • approval-inbox collects action items, blocked kanban cards and failed cron jobs in one pane
  • github-pr-dashboard lists created, review-requested and closed PRs using the gh CLI
  • typefully-q manages a Typefully queue calendar from the desktop
  • time-machine shows config history diffs and supports safe rollback
  • nes-emulator plays .nes ROMs you already own with save states

When to use it

  • Seeing everything that is waiting on you across kanban, cron and drafts
  • Rolling back a bad change to your Hermes configuration
  • Watching model speed while comparing providers in the desktop app

Who it is for: Hermes Desktop users who want extra panes and tools added through the desktop plugin system.

How it fits with Hermes Agent
