What Omatchy does

Omatchy has a hidden background plugin and a base omatchy theme. The plugin polls your Omarchy theme state every 3 seconds, reads colors.toml along with Waybar, Kitty or Ghostty fonts, and maps the palette onto Hermes theme values: background, midground, foreground and warm glow, plus primary, destructive, success and warning overrides. When you change your Omarchy theme, the dashboard follows within about three seconds, and CSS variables are injected directly, so there is no page reload.

A contrast guard checks luminance so the midground stays lighter than the background on dark themes and darker on light ones. Official and custom Omarchy themes are handled, and your system monospace font is carried into the dashboard. The backend serves GET /api/plugins/omatchy/status. The README says it was built for the Nous Research Hermes Dashboard Pop-Up Hackathon to show custom themes and dashboard plugins working together. It is MIT licensed.

What is Omatchy?
