Browser side panel that connects web pages to your local or remote Hermes Agent runtime

In short

Hermes Browser Extension is a browser side panel for the real Hermes Agent runtime in Chrome, Edge, other Chromium browsers and Firefox. It connects the active web page to a local gateway, Hermes Cloud or a self-hosted remote gateway.

What Hermes Browser Extension does

Hermes Browser Extension is not a browser chatbot but a side panel for the real Hermes Agent runtime in Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers. It offers three connection modes: a local gateway, a signed-in Hermes Cloud agent tab, or a self-hosted remote API or dashboard. Local and remote API connections can use the models, tools, skills, sessions, memory and MCP servers already configured in Hermes, while Cloud and dashboard-ticket connections are chat-only.

Bot Mode brings your agent roster into the panel, with agent switching, profile editing and group chats where several agents reply in one room. Browser Control sets which tabs a turn reads: this tab, selected tabs or a chosen task set. Screenshots are never captured automatically. Hermes Assist drafts beside text composers without sending anything, and page comments let you pin notes to elements. Firefox 142+ is supported through the Mozilla Add-ons listing as a chat-and-context client. The extension was created by Jon Komet.

How it fits with Hermes Agent

Built for Hermes Agent: it connects to a local Hermes gateway, Hermes Cloud or a self-hosted remote gateway and reuses the models, tools, skills and memory configured there.

Requirements: Hermes Agent installed and working, Hermes Gateway/API server enabled for Local or Remote API mode, Node.js 20+, and a Chromium browser with Side Panel API support (Chrome 116+) or Firefox 142+

Note: It is a community extension, and the README lists group-chat page-context delivery as not yet reliable.
