Native iPhone app for controlling a self-hosted Hermes agent through a hermes-webui server
Hermex is a native SwiftUI iPhone app for controlling a self-hosted Hermes agent from your phone. It connects to a hermes-webui server that you run yourself, so the agent, its tools and your data stay on your own hardware.
What Hermex does
Hermex is a client only. You run a hermes-webui server, an MIT-licensed third-party project, on macOS, Linux or Windows/WSL2 with Python 3.11+, set HERMES_WEBUI_PASSWORD, and enter the server URL and password in the app. The phone acts as the control plane while the agent, its tools and your data stay on your machine. The app is written in SwiftUI for iOS 18+, is free, and has no analytics or tracking.
In the app you chat with the agent using model, reasoning-effort, workspace and profile options, attach files and images, watch responses stream with thinking and tool-call detail, and steer or stop a run mid-flight. Other screens cover sessions with offline caching, model switching, profiles and projects, scheduled cron tasks, skills, a workspace file browser, and read-only memory and usage panels. The README recommends reaching the server over HTTPS through Cloudflare Tunnel or a reverse proxy, or privately with Tailscale Serve. Push notifications are optional and go through a self-hostable relay.

Who it is for: Hermes users who self-host their agent and want a native iPhone client for it.
How it fits with Hermes Agent
Built for Hermes agents: it drives a self-hosted hermes-webui server, a separate third-party project, rather than talking to Hermes directly.
Requirements: An iPhone on iOS 18+, a self-hosted hermes-webui server (Python 3.11+, with HERMES_WEBUI_PASSWORD set), and a way to reach it from the phone such as an HTTPS tunnel, reverse proxy or Tailscale Serve
Note: Hermex is a client only and needs your own hermes-webui server, and securing and exposing that server is the user's responsibility.
