Pixel-art virtual office for Hermes Agent: every session and subagent is an animated character

In short

Hermes Pixel Office is a Hermes Agent plugin that shows every agent session and delegate_task subagent as an animated pixel-art character at a desk in a virtual office. It runs live in a browser, with an optional VS Code extension.

What Hermes Pixel Office does

Hermes Pixel Office turns Hermes activity into a pixel-art office. Each Hermes session, whether from the CLI, Telegram, Discord or cron, becomes a character that walks in, sits at a desk and leaves when the session ends. Subagents started with delegate_task appear as gold-collared characters labeled by goal. Animations reflect what the agent is doing: typing for write_file and patch, reading a book for read_file and search_files, browsing for web tools, a flickering green monitor for terminal work and pointing when delegating. Dangerous-command approvals show a red alert bubble and a header counter. Sessions from all Hermes processes on the machine share one office.

The plugin is visual only. It observes lifecycle hooks, such as pre and post tool call, subagent start and stop, session start and end, and approval request and response, and appends one JSON line per event to ~/.hermes/pixel-office/events.jsonl. A daemon thread serves a single canvas page and a /state endpoint at 127.0.0.1:8113, with sprites drawn in code and no dependencies. It never blocks, vetoes or transforms anything and adds no model-tool footprint. An optional sound chime and a demo_feed.py script that needs no Hermes install are included.
