What Hermes Live Voice does

Hermes Live Voice adds full-duplex, interruptible voice calls to Hermes Desktop. You start a call from a microphone button in the composer and talk to your bot with real-time audio over WebRTC, so audio goes between your device and the model directly while the server only brokers the session. The voice engine is GPT-Live-1 (gpt-live-1-codex), reached through the local Codex app-server on a ChatGPT or Codex subscription, so no API key is needed for the voice lane.

The voice session adopts the active bot's SOUL.md identity and language, and shows a live transcript with tool activity chips. When a spoken request is a real task, it is delegated into your focused Hermes chat, so your own models and providers do the work; an opt-in server-agent mode also exists. The plugin ships as one package with a backend half for the Hermes dashboard and a desktop half loaded by Hermes Desktop, plus device pickers, a mic test, mute and usage panels.
