Self-hosted control plane for OpenClaw and Hermes agent fleets on Docker and Kubernetes
Nora is an open-source, self-hosted control plane for running OpenClaw and Hermes agent fleets on Docker or Kubernetes, with a REST API, CLI and MCP server.
What Nora does
Nora gives operators one surface for deploying and running agents on their own infrastructure. It provisions OpenClaw and Hermes agents to Docker or Kubernetes, with an official Helm chart, and covers deploy, start, stop, restart, redeploy and version history. Operators get streaming logs, an interactive terminal into running containers, a file browser and editor, and the Hermes dashboard embedded in the UI, plus per-agent metrics and cost, a needs-attention roll-up and alert rules.
Per-agent LLM budgets can hard-cap spending and auto-pause an agent, and recurring cron schedules run agents with queue retries. Provider keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest, and production refuses to boot without a valid encryption key unless an operator enables an insecure override. Other pieces include Agent Hub templates, a 69-entry integration catalog, multi-tenant workspaces with role-based access, an OpenAPI 3.1 REST API, the @noraai/cli and the @noraai/mcp-server for Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Claude Desktop and Cursor. Proxmox LXC deployment and the NemoClaw sandbox are marked experimental.
Key features
- Deploy and manage OpenClaw and Hermes agents on Docker or Kubernetes, with a Helm chart
- Streaming logs, container terminal, file browser and embedded Hermes dashboard
- Per-agent metrics, cost tracking, alert rules and budget hard caps with auto-pause
- Provider keys encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM
- Agent Hub starter templates and a 69-entry integration catalog
- REST API, @noraai/cli and @noraai/mcp-server
When to use it
- Running a fleet of Hermes agents on a Kubernetes cluster you control
- Capping and monitoring LLM spend per agent
- Operating both OpenClaw and Hermes agents from one admin surface
Who it is for: Teams and homelab operators who run several agents in production and want a self-hosted ops layer.
How it fits with Hermes Agent
Supports Hermes Agent among other agents: it deploys Hermes and OpenClaw runtimes side by side and embeds the Hermes dashboard in its operator UI.
Requirements: macOS 12+, Linux, or Windows 10+ with WSL2, plus Docker Engine and Compose v2; the installer checks for Docker, Git and OpenSSL and installs anything missing
Note: The README labels several features experimental, including Proxmox LXC deployment and the NemoClaw hardened sandbox.
