Installer for self-hosted coding agents on AWS, including an experimental Hermes pack
LowKey Deployer is a shell installer that deploys a self-hosted AI coding agent into your own AWS account, with a choice of agent packs that includes an experimental Hermes Agent pack.
What LowKey Deployer does
The installer, run with curl -sfL install.lowkey.run | bash, walks you through an agent pack, a permission profile, an instance size and a deploy method, then deploys through CloudFormation. Packs include OpenClaw (the default), Claude Code, Hermes, NemoClaw, Kiro CLI, Codex CLI, pi, ironclaw and roundhouse. The Hermes pack is marked experimental and described as a lighter, terminal-focused NousResearch CLI agent with self-improving skills, for which the README says a t4g.medium instance is sufficient.
Three permission profiles set what the agent can do: builder (AdministratorAccess), account_assistant (ReadOnlyAccess plus Bedrock) and personal_assistant (Bedrock only). Non-interactive deploys use flags such as -y, --pack and --profile. The README advises a dedicated sandbox account because language models make mistakes, and notes that the installer sends anonymous install telemetry that can be turned off with LOWKEY_TELEMETRY=0 or a ~/.lowkey/telemetry-off file. An uninstall script is provided.
