Sno Station

Shared encrypted memory and messaging for Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw and Hermes Agent on your machine

In short

Sno Station is open source software that connects the AI agents on your computer into one squad with a shared, encrypted memory and agent-to-agent messaging. Its setup command can connect Hermes Agent along with Claude Code, Codex and OpenClaw.

What Sno Station does

Sno Station turns the coding and general-purpose agents you already run into one squad on your own machine. Shared memory is encrypted locally from first use with a key that never leaves the machine, and it needs no account, no API key, no daemon and no cloud. Sno Reach adds agent-to-agent messaging, so when one agent hits a rate limit another can pick up with the context intact, and agents can review each other's work.

A nightly loop reads agent sessions and proposes changes to the agents' own skills, then waits for you to approve them. The memory engine stores each memory with its language and keeps CJK text intact, and the README ships in nine languages. One installer command sets up sno, Sno Station, Sno Reach, skills and hooks, and adding --harness hermes to sno setup connects only Hermes Agent. The README states that shared memory is what installs today.

Key features

  • One encrypted shared memory for Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw and Hermes Agent
  • Sno Reach agent-to-agent messaging
  • Squad skills for handoff and cross-vendor review
  • A nightly loop that proposes skill changes and waits for approval
  • No daemon, server or cloud required
  • Per-agent setup with sno setup --harness hermes

When to use it

  • Hand work from one agent to another when a rate limit is hit
  • Have one vendor's agent review another's output
  • Share project memory between Hermes Agent and a coding agent

Who it is for: People who run more than one AI agent on the same machine and want them to share memory and hand work to each other.

How it fits with Hermes Agent

Hermes Agent is one of four supported harnesses: sno setup can connect it with the --harness hermes option, and the repository includes a Hermes onboarding walkthrough.

How to install Sno Station

These commands are copied from the project's README. Check the repository for the latest steps before you run them.

sh -c 'sno_installer_body=$(curl -fsSL https://sno.ai/install) && printf "%s\n" "$sno_installer_body" | sh' && ~/.local/bin/sno setup

Requirements: No account and no API key for shared memory

Note: The README says shared memory is what installs today and that the project is assembled in public.

FAQ

What is Sno Station?

Sno Station is open source software that turns the AI agents on your machine into one squad. They share an encrypted memory, message each other through Sno Reach, and get skill improvements proposed each night for your approval.

Does Sno Station work with Hermes Agent?

Yes. The README lists Hermes Agent with Claude Code, Codex and OpenClaw as harnesses that share one memory, and sno setup --harness hermes connects only Hermes. A Hermes onboarding guide is linked from the README.

How do I install Sno Station?

Run the one-line installer from the README, which downloads sno and then runs ~/.local/bin/sno setup. To connect just one agent, add --harness codex, claude, openclaw or hermes to sno setup.
