AgentSpace
HKUDS/AgentSpace
Shared workspace for human and agent teams, with Hermes as one of the agent runtimes it routes to
AgentSpace is an agent-native collaborative workspace where agents have roles, owners and permissions alongside human teammates. Its AgentRouter layer can route tasks to Hermes, Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and OpenClaw.
What AgentSpace does
AgentSpace treats agents as teammates instead of tools. Teams recruit agents with defined roles and owners, schedule their work, require permissions and approvals for sensitive actions, and keep audit trails of agent actions, decisions and outputs. Agents can also be shared or transferred between teams.
AgentRouter is the execution layer. A news entry dated 2026-06-22 says it supports Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, OpenClaw and Hermes and picks a runtime for each task, and a later entry adds Google Antigravity CLI. You can use the hosted platform at hire-an-agent.online or self-host the repository, which keeps data, provider CLIs and runtime machines under your control. The README says both modes run the same product. The Feishu integration is merged into the main branch, and a Slack plugin was on a testing branch as of the latest news entry.
Key features
- Agents with defined roles, owners and responsibilities
- AgentRouter chooses among Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, OpenClaw and Hermes per task
- Scheduled agent work
- Permissions, approvals and audit trails for sensitive actions
- Hosted platform or self-hosted deployment
- Agents that can be shared and transferred across teams
When to use it
- Run Hermes Agent as one of several digital employees in a shared team workspace
- Require human approval before an agent takes a sensitive action
- Self-host the workspace when data and runtime machines must stay on your own infrastructure
Who it is for: Teams that want to run several coding and general-purpose agents under shared governance instead of from one person's terminal.
How it fits with Hermes Agent
Hermes is one of the agent runtimes AgentRouter can route tasks to, alongside Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and OpenClaw. AgentSpace itself is not Hermes-specific.
How to install AgentSpace
These commands are copied from the project's README. Check the repository for the latest steps before you run them.
npm run setup && npm run dev:webNote: Some integrations are still in testing, and the README lists a Slack plugin on a testing branch.
