What Obsidian Agent Client does

Obsidian Agent Client adds chat panels for ACP agents inside Obsidian. You mention notes with @ and the agent can read and edit them in your vault without copy-paste. Edits appear as word-level diffs in the chat, and permission prompts let you approve or reject each action, with auto-allow as an opt-in. The plugin is built on the Agent Client Protocol from Zed.

Nine presets cover Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Mistral Vibe, OpenCode, Kiro, Hermes Agent, Pi and Grok Build, and any other ACP-compatible agent can be added as a custom entry. Several agents can run side by side in sidebar tabs, editor tabs or floating windows, each with its own session and model. Other features include chats embedded inside notes, a Session Manager, session history, Markdown chat export, terminal output in the chat and a WSL mode for Windows.
