What bighelp does

bighelp offers one-on-one and group chats with streaming replies, avatars that show what each agent is doing, turn-based or live voice, approvals so an agent asks before it acts, and tasks that run on a schedule. Agents can keep a Feed, Ideas, Goals and Apps up to date once you ask them to, and can send cards, forms, images and video. The app also provides notifications, Live Activities, widgets, Shortcuts and an Apple Watch app.

The app connects to your Hermes host over a home network, Tailscale or HTTPS. There is no bighelp account, and chats go only between the phone and your host, plus the AI providers your host uses. A companion plugin, bighelp-plugin, adds notifications, live voice, cards and the Feed. Push notifications and Live Activities are sent through BuzzKit. Hermes behind Cloudflare Access, a password proxy or a header-checking proxy such as Pangolin also works.

Built for Hermes. It signs in with Hermes' own login, and a companion Hermes plugin installed with hermes plugins install adds the extras.

Requirements: iOS 17 or later; building needs a Mac with a current Xcode (Swift 6) and XcodeGen; a Hermes host you run
